Trimming807은  가위컷 전문 강아지미용실이다. 클라이언트는 손쉽고 빠른 헤어클리퍼 (흔히 바리깡이라고 칭하는)를 사용하는 것이 아닌 손의 감각과 기술을 통한 미용이 맞다는 신념으로 오로지 가위질만을 통해 미용을 한다고 했다.  그러면 우리도 공간을 ‘가위질’해보기로 했다. 사각종이 위 필요한 기능의 공간들을 가위질해본다.

Cut-out 이라는 컨셉은 공간의 목적과 디자인을 연결한다.

강아지가 주인공인 공간이기 때문에 강아지의 입장에서 공간을 바라보기로 했다. 강아지의 시선에 보이는 세상을 생각해보니 색깔이 압축된다. 강아지는 흑과 백 외에 ‘노란색’과 ‘파란색’으로 세상을 보기에 공간은 강아지 시선의 컬러를 입었다.

Trimming807 is a specialized dog grooming salon that focuses on scissor cuts. The client believes in the importance of using the skill and tactile sense of the hands rather than relying on easy and fast hair clippers (commonly known as clippers). Therefore, they perform grooming exclusively with scissors. Following this philosophy, we decided to “cut” the space as well. We will trim the necessary functional areas on square paper.

The concept of “Cut-out” connects the purpose and design of the space.

Since this is a space where dogs are the main focus, we decided to view the space from a dog’s perspective. Considering how dogs see the world, colors are compressed. Dogs see the world in black and white, with additional perception of “yellow” and “blue.” Thus, the space is designed with the colors seen from a dog’s point of view.
